1 . Currency
a. All prices are quoted in Euros and are inclusive of TVA (VAT).
b.
Payment should be made in Euros only, whether by credit or debit card or in cash.
c.
Only cheques drawn on a French account in Euros can be accepted
2. Credit cards
a. All major credit cards are accepted, except American Express and Diners’ Club.
b. Please have your credit or debit card number, expiry date and security code available when making a payment by telephone (see below).
c.Please do NOT send credit or debit card details via email, as we cannot guarantee the security of your details over the internet. Instead please telephone us to make your
deposit. We are happy to arrange a mutually convenient time to telephone you to do so, if you wish.
d.
We will normally send you email confirmation of your deposit once it has been processed.
3. Deposits
a. We ask for a 25% deposit on the total value of your booking in order to secure your reservation (the “Deposit”). In the case when there are several
people who require the same room and dates, the person who is able to pay the Deposit first will obtain the reservation.
b. When making the Deposit in relation to functions (e.g. Weddings, anniversaries etc.) we do not apply the same percentage value for the deposit required,
nor is any payment made in part or in full refundable under the rules set out below. In the case where we engage services on a clients’ behalf (e.g. hiring a marquee, disco, caterer) the
full amount due may be payable when a cancellation is made less than six months’ before the function.
c.
The Deposit must be made as described in (a) and (b)above.
4. Balance Payable
a. The balance payable is the full amount due less the Deposit paid plus any extras such as meals not yet paid for and any extras such as beer, wine and champagne purchased
from our wine list.
b.
The Balance payable must be paid either in advance or on the day of departure before checking out, and must be paid as set out in (1) above.
5. Cancellations and Refunds
a.We will not require clients to pay the full amount due when making a cancellation at short notice.
b.
In accordance with French law, Deposits, are not refundable. However, in certain circumstances we are prepared to make part or full refunds for bookings
of at least two nights’ accommodation.
c.
We will refund any Deposit made on a booking cancelled (in writing, and receipt confirmed by us) provided that the cancellation is received at least three months’ before the
first day of the booking. We will deduct the cost of processing the credit card, bank charges etc from the total amount, by making a deduction of
Euros 50 for each room booked and cancelled (the “Cancellation Fee”).
d.
When making a cancellation within two months’ of the first day of the booking, your deposit will only be refunded less the Cancellation Fee, provided we
can relet the room(s) booked.
e.
When making a cancellation for reasons of illness, family emergency etc. we will at our discretion hold over your deposit to be credited against any
booking made within six months of the cancellation, less the Cancellation Fee.
f.
Refunds will normally be processed by us at the end of the calendar month following the cancellation.
g.
When dealing with refunds it is our aim to be fair and helpful wherever possible. We ask clients and guests to remember that we are a small family business and to try
to make any cancellation as far in advance as possible.
h. In the event of premature departure, the full value of the accommodation and meals booked will be charged. |
