This is a fairly new Haute-Vienne initiative, which encourages farms to open up the public to show how their products are grown and made and allow people to buy direct the very best that the region has to offer.

The Easter Market and the various Organic Markets throughout the year serve as a good introduction to this scheme.

You can see everything from snail farming to wine production, and it is great for children to see where food comes from. There is a lovely goats' cheese farm nearby where you can wonder at the almost alpine landscape and enjoy the variety of cheeses on offer.
