The rivers, lakes and streams in Limousin provide an abundance of opportunity of those who love to fish. Fishing permits can be purchased on a daily basis (there is a fishing and hunting specialist shop in Ambazac that sells equipment, fishing guides and permits), or for longer periods. Although crayfish are mostly protected, there are plenty of other varieties of fish that can be caught and enjoyed.

Fishing is also available at the Chateau itself for a nominal charge of €15 per day. The Chateau's lake is stocked with various types of Carp, Tench, Roach, Rudd, Pike well that's all we have caught so far. Perhaps you could add to the list.
