Limoges Airport to Chateau Ribagnac – about 25 minutes
1. On
leaving the airport car park, take the second exit
from the roundabout towards the A20/LIMOGES. After 0.3 miles/ 0.5 kms, turn left onto the
D2000 towards POITIERS.
2. Follow the D2000
for 9 miles/ 14 kms towards the A20
(ignoring the first junction – signposted
Poitiers N147). At the first roundabout, take
the second exit towards A20/ ORLÉANS.
Take the second exit on the next roundabout towards
ORLÉANS/ AMBAZAC. Then,
once you have crossed over the A20,
take the fourth exit from the third roundabout onto
the A20 towards ORLÉANS/
AMBAZAC – Junction 28 of the A20. Stay on the A20 until the next
junction, Junction 27, about 2.5 miles/ 3.5 kms.
3. Leave the A20
at Junction 27 and turn left from the slip road
towards AMBAZAC on the D220. After about 0.5 miles/ 1 km, take the second exit
from the roundabout towards AMBAZAC
and follow the road until you get to AMBAZAC
(about 6.5 miles/ 10 kms).

When you see the signpost AMBAZAC
in AMBAZAC, continue to follow
the road (now the D914) –
do not go into the centre of Ambazac – for
about 1 mile/ 1.5 kms until you reach a roundabout.
Take the first exit, signposted to ST
LÉONARD DE NOBLAT (on the D5) and
GARE SNCF.
5.
Follow the road for about 0.3 miles/ 0.5 kms then
take the turning on the right onto the D56
towards ST MARTIN-TERRESSUS.
6. Follow the road for about 2
miles until, after the sign for PORTAIL
DE RIBAGNAC, you see a long stone wall
on the right hand side of the road. At the
beginning of the wall, just after the signpost for
LE BOST, you will see a large gate. Go through the gate and follow the lane/ signs to
the Chateau, which will be to your left.

To drive to Chateau Ribagnac from the main
Channel ports (e.g. Calais) takes about 6 hours
and all but the last 10 miles/ 16 kms is on motorways. The route is straightforward and you should follow
the signs to Ambazac from Junction 27 of the A20
(see steps 3 to 6 above).
Alternatively, you can get off at Junction 26 and follow signs to Ambazac. Once you are in Ambazac, follow signs to ST LÉONARD DE NOBLAT (on the D5) and GARE SNCF. Then follow steps 4 to 6 above. In any event, please download the printable map, which will help you.

| Limoges – Bénédictins
railway station is about 3 hours by train from
Paris –
Austerlitz or Bordeaux railway stations. You
may get from the station to Chateau Ribagnac
by taxi in about 25 minutes. Alternatively
you may pick up a hire car there.
To drive from Limoges – Bénédictins
railway station, a splendid of art deco architecture, turn right out of the railway station
onto rue Aristide Briand, so that you have the railway
station and tracks on your right. Follow the
road for about 2 miles/ 3 kms, crossing over the
A20 until you reach a roundabout at La Bastide.
Take the third exit from the roundabout and follow
the signs to the A20/ ORLEANS.
Join the A20 at Junction 31 and continue along
the A20 until you reach Junction 27. Then
follow steps 3 to 6 above. |
