Breakfast is taken (weather permitting) outside, to
allow our guests to enjoy the morning sunshine.
We provide a continental breakfast, with the addition
of eggs fresh from our hens (in season), and homemade jams,
as well as yogurt and cereals.
Breakfast is normally served between 8:30 - 10:30, but for early departures we will always try to accommodate an earlier start.

The Limousin region is well known for its culinary produce
and we seek to use only the very best local ingredients,
and, where possible, produce from our own kitchen garden.
The lamb and beef (famously fed on both grass and herbs)
as well as the duck and pork are legendary. We also
benefit from fantastic chestnuts, fruit, cèpes
and many other delicacies.
On warm evenings dinner is best enjoyed outside, however
in cooler weather, you can relax in the elegance of
our dining room.
Table d’hôtes is a traditional service, where
food is only served to guests. You eat at
the table of your hosts. It is a set menu, and changes every day.We think this allows
us to offer the highest standards of fresh food in a
lovely intimate relaxed atmosphere. Guests are able
to arrange for meals in advance, when they book their
rooms, or alternatively, we ask that you notify us on
the morning of the day before you wish to have dinner (please
see the Tariff page).
We have a selection of house wines and Patrick chooses the appropriate wine
for the menu each evening. If you would like a different wine, then you are
free to order the wine of your choice, at the price listed on our wine list.
Please let us know in advance if you are a vegetarian/vegan or have any food
allergies have any particular dietary requirements, or if there is something
special you would like.
We serve children’s dinner early at around 6.00, so that all the children
can eat together (supervised by parents). Children’s dinner is charged at €10 per child (no charge for babies). This allows parents time to
put
younger children to bed before their dinner. Generally, children up to about
15 years old eat at this time. We are able to provide baby food if required.
Children eating with the adults are charged at €25, and are prohibited
from drinking wine alcoholic drinks.
Drinks are served at around 8.30. Every evening there is also an aperitif
of the day (at a nominal charge of €4) so that guests can try different
regional drinks – many aperitifs are still handmade in Limoges using
traditional methods. Dinner then follows, usually at 9.00. The meal is an
opportunity for socialising and enjoying the company of other guests.
Please note that we do not serve dinner on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. We are
happy to recommend restaurants and make reservations if you wish.
