This suite is decorated in the traditional French style
with fabric lined walls and detail, echoing the hydrangeas flowering
below, with oak panelling and a high beamed ceiling. There is a Breton bibliothéque that was made for the chateau’s restoration (1866) as well as an imposing bed and wardrobe, and delicate bedside tables.
This room has a beautiful chandelier of both mauve and pure crystal.
It was originally the first floor salon, and so benefits
from a monumental carved fireplace, where you can still
sit and imagine parlour games being played. The stained
glass windows overlook the meadow to the rear of the
Chateau. There are traditional shutters.
This suite has a tower at its corner, which
now houses part of the modern yet classic bathroom with a lovely chestnut floor. The bathroom has a bath and a shower. The suite has a double bed, and a slatted sofabed, and can also accommodate an additional single bed and/or cot, on request. The room is ideal for families because of its spaciousness.
